Death has robbed a Primary Seven Pupil of Bukari Primary School in Bukibokolo Sub County in Bududa district Monday morning while sitting her first UNEB examination paper.

Winnie Kakayi, 14, is said to have collapsed and died in the examination room as pupils started mathematics paper for their Primary Leaving Examinations.

Kakayi, now deceased was among a total of  21 pupils that registered to sit for primary leaving examination in the school.

David Kitutu, the school headteacher said prior to this unfortunate incident, He received a communication from the deceased’s parents that the child was suffering from malaria but was not treated. Kitutu said that Kakayi collapsed as soon as she started the mathematics paper.

John Wandera, the father of the deceased said he asked her to stay home since she was sick but insisted that she could not miss an examination she has been preparing for.
