The court of Arbitration of Sports(CAS) has asked the federation of Uganda Football Associations(FUFA) to submit their defends against the appeal submitted by Proline Fc.
On 1st October, 2019, Proline sought the redress of sport, too most court of appeal over what the club described as poor interpretation o the FIFA rules and regulations governing the international break.
Through their lawyers Med Kaggwa & Co. Advocates, Proline appealed against FUFA’s Appeals Committe affirmation of the Competitions Disciplinary Panel ruling to the club six points and six goals from those accumulated or to be accumulated, plus paying a fine of UGX 5,000,000.

Following the fulfilment of the requirements for the CAS to proceed, which include payment of swiss Francs, 1000 and the nomination of an arbitrator, the court has since written to FUFA requesting for their appeal.
According to the letter dated 28th October, FUFA have been given 20 days to submit their defense and these shall include; a statement if defense, any defense of lack of jurisdiction, any exhibits o specification of other evidence upon which the respondent (FUFA) intend to rely among others.
The case has been registered under CAS 2019/A/6529 Proline Football Club Vs Federation of Uganda Football Associations and has been assigned to the Appeals Arbitration Division of the CAS.
Proline Fc nominated Edward Canty, a solicitor from Manchester, United Kingdom as an arbitrator. FUFA are yet to nominate their arbitrator, but are expected to name them with 10 day o reciept of the letter.
