Legislators threw out Makerere University Council and Management officials for sneaking into a Parliamentary Education Committee session uninvited.
The committee last week issued a letter to the state Minister for Higher Education John Chrysostom Muyingo to present before them concerned officials and necessary documents to explain the on going strike at Makerere University.

Charged legislators voted unanimously to kick out an uninvited officials. Committee chairperson Okoth Oboth ordered out the Makerere University Vice Chancellor Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe and members of the university council.
Legislators reasoned that the Makerere University team were going to interfere with the submissions of the ministry officials.
Okoth Oboth then asked Prof. Nawangwe to return on Wednesday to face their bit of grilling as Parliament moves to unearth the cause of the brutal strikes that rocked the university.
Legislators also questions the absence of the minister of education and Sports Janet Museveni who they expected among the officials from the ministry.
