Aruu MP Odonga Otto appeared he had gotten the chance when he found himself in the same room with the minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Gen Kahinda Otafiire.

Otto and Gen. Otafiire were invited as guests in the NBS TV political programme Frontline presented by Charles Odongtho.

The pair took it right on from the start trading accusations and insults as other panelists Nobert Mao and Ofwono Opondo literally watched on for the better of the show.

Below is the blow by blow account of how Otto and Gen. Otafiire exchanged during the two-hour show.

Odonga Otto: MP Zaake punched the Vice-Chancellor of Makerere University, I wish that punch went to Otafiire. But It was unfortunate.

Otafiire; We have a problem of people who speak then think. We have a problem with journalists who write fiction for facts.

Otafiire; The land was sold to me three years ago, that is why I told him to repeat the statement outside Parliament and we go to court, not to go physical.

Odonga Otto: Gen. Otafiire’s name has surfaced in sugar, Congo smuggling. These are the usual suspects in the eyes of ordinary Ugandans. The law on ownership is catching up with the small fish leaving out the big ones.

Odonga Otto: Otafiire is so ambitious, if he knows of a place where you can make money, he becomes the first to go. But he never pays tax. Let him show us tax returns. The regime will change one day.

Otafiire: Odonga Otto has no evidence that I haven’t paid tax. If you push him he will go to Parliament and break the door. I have declared all of my properties.

Odonga Otto to Otafiire: Ugandans are not happy with you people.

Gen. Otafiire: That can only be tested at the ballot box, when we’re defeated we shall go home…
