Mbarara City are in advanced talks with Wasswa Bbosa who resigned from his job at Tooro Unite early this month.
Initially, the Mbarara outfit were set to name Bbosa as their coach before the season could start but a compromise was not reached.
It is understood that t former Sports Club Villa a Express tactician wanted to come along with his backroom staff, a team Mbarara City could not agree to before he signed a contract extension at Tooro United.
Now with the club’s technical ream overhauled over the weekend, it is understood that Bbosa will come along with his assistants.
While Paul Nkata was sent packing together with his deputies Baker Kasule, Hamza Kalanzi and Ali Tabule on Sunday, the club temporarily hired Brian Ssenyondo as the interim coach for the second time this season.
Another potential candidate for the vacant job is Livingstone Mbabazi who left the club at the end of last season but is still contracted with Onduparaka.
Mbarara City are on the second page of the table with only 13 points accumulated from 13 games played.
The club will play against Kyetume on Friday at Kakyeka Stadium under the tutelage of Ssenyondo in a bid to arrest their poor run.
