The UBTEB November/December Examinations start on Monday, November 18.

Onesmus Oyesigye the Executive Secretary of UBTEB, has said the Uganda Business Technical Examinations Board –UBTEB will cancel the entire exam result for candidates found cheating.

Oyesigye while briefing journalists in Kampala, says at first, the board canceled only results for an exam paper in which a candidate was caught cheating. an approach he says was not effective.

Oyesigye said this is being done to ensure that candidates leave institutions with excellent skills to help them produce outstanding work in the communities and deter others from cheating exams.

Oyesigye stressed that this time around, any person involved in examination malpractice risks losing the entire examination set for the semester and if found cheating for a second time loses the entire year while expulsion will apply to third-time offenders.

While speaking at the same press conference, the Deputy Executive Secretary of UBTEB, Dr. Nahamya  Wilfred Karukuza said that the Board will deploy more than 450 scouts, 324 supervisors, 160 Area coordinators, Police officers, and other covert personnel to secure the examinations.
