Police in Mukono is investigating circumstances under which a boy suspected to be in his teens drowned on Monday under unclear circumstances.
The boy met his death while swimming at Festino city hotel in the Mukono district.
According to the Manager Festino city, Karungi Fredrick, they retrieved the body and performed the necessary first aid, however, efforts to rescue the boy hit a dead end because he died on the way to the hospital.
Luke Owesigirye the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson says the body has been taken to the Hospital Mortuary pending a postmortem. He says investigations into the incident are currently ongoing.
