KCCA Fc have won four of their last five games and come into this fixture after walloping Kyetume 5-2 at Lugogo on Saturday.
The defending champions are currently 4th with points from 12 games played and hope to continue with their elevation to the summit of the Uganda Premier league table.

The four previous league meetings between KCCA Fc and Mbarara city have all ended in draws but the script could change when both sides meet today in the afternoon at Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara.

KCCA Fc will have to play this game without three of it’s influential players who include Mustafa Kizza, Allan Okello and Nicholas Kasozi who did not travel with the team yesterday on Monday.
Kasozi is suffering from malaria, Okello has a knee injury while Kizza has been left out due to fatigue.
Mbarara city have won their most recent two games under Brian Ssenyondo against Onduparaka Fc and Kyetume fc.
Muzamir Mityana, Sulaiman Mityana and Erisa Sekisambu are the players expected to inspire fellow players for their first ever win over Ankole Lions.

Paul Mucurezi, Brian Ahebwa and Ibrahim Orit are the superstars coach Brian Ssenyondo will base on if he is to pick any result at home.
Goalkeeper Tom Ikara will not take part in the game since he is on loan from KCCA. His place is expected to be taken by Muhammad Sekeba.
Mbarara City are 11th with 16 points will be hoping to finish their first round I’m the 8th position should they register a rare victory over KCCA fc.
