Police have finally nabbed Wamala Assadu , the school director Wamala Secondary School in Mpigi District who is accused of severally defiling students at his school.
Officers from Nsangi Police station busted Wamala at his father’s home in Nakaseke district where he has been in hiding. Police say Wamala will be charged and tried in court.
President Museveni last week ordered an exclusive investigation by a State House team on why the school director who was charged with indecent assault was released on bail by the Mpigi Magistrate Maureen Mukayo.
The team from State House recorded statements from a number of students before ordering for the re-arrest of the school director.
Wamala has been accused by several female students of allegedly defiling them consecutively. The students claim Wamala often walked into the girls’ dormitory uninvited and randomly picked girls to either take to his house, which is near the school or sneak them out of school to Kampala for sex.
Wamala is said to have repeatedly sexually abused the girls in classes and staffroom among other places.
