Speeding Car Knocks One Dead, Injures 3 Drunkards In Hit And Run Accident On Entebbe Road.

Police in Entebbe is looking for the driver of Car that smashed into four people on Friday morning, killing one on spot and injuring three others in a hit and run incident.

The accident happened along the Kampala – Entebbe road at Abayita.

The deceased has been identified as Henry Kasasa, a resident of Kabale – Abayita Abayita while the injured are Richard Kalule, Hannington Mukasa, and Robert Musiige, all residents of Kitinda, Katabi town council.

According to eyewitnesses, the drunken staggering victims were crossing from Lwasa’s Bar at Abayita Ababiri in Katabi town council at the Kitinda Junction when a speeding car from Kampala crashed them.

The unknown driver upon realizing the magnitude of the accident fled the scene immediately before an angry mob would pounce on him or smash his ride.

Charles Musinguzi, a traffic officer in Entebbe says police is hunting for the driver.He says that with the help of the CCTV cameras, he will be easily identified.

The casualties have been rushed to the hospital as police proceeds with investigations.
