Police in Kawempe have arrested one monstrous suspect and are trailing another currently on the run in connection with the awful murder of a woman.
According to the Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Luke Owesigirye, the deceased Sanyu Edith was brutally murdered in the wee hours of Thursday Morning and later dumped in a rubbish pit in Bwaise, Kampala.
Owesigirye says Sanyu was last spotted at St Francies with friends and a known client who has since fled.
He says they received information from the LC1 chairperson at about 8 am on Thursday of a lifeless body discovered in a rubbish pit.
Owesigirye says Police rushed to the scene with sniffer Dogs that led them to the residence of one of the suspects who currently is detained at Kawempe Police Post to help with investigations.
