Police in Kampala is investigating the kidnap and subsequent murder of a 5-year-old girl.
The deceased Betty Nalwanga, disappeared from her aunt’s home, Florence Nantale, on December 16 at about 10 pm.
Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, says at the time of the occurrence, Nantale was in the house while the five-year-old was playing in the company of other children.
Nantale realized the girl was missing at 11 pm after looking outside for her in vain, she immediately ran to Kagoma police post where she filed a complaint of a missing person.
Onyango notes that the Police mounted a search and on Thursday morning discovered the girl’s cold body lying in a bush.
Police are now hunting for the possible killers.

Police have urged parents to be watchful of their children and also take note of suspicious-looking people in their neighborhoods.
