Police in Kagadi district is manhunting two teenagers accused of stabbing their buddies on the stomach.
The two cold-hearted boys performed the gruesome act on Boxing Day over 2000 Shillings’ debt.
The suspects are both residents of Ibanda Village in Nyamacumu Parish –Muhorro sub-county Kagadi district.
Kadaga District Police Commander, Romeo Ojara, says that Ambrose Mugabi a victim owed one of the suspects Shillings 2000, which hadn’t paid back yet.
Ojara says the desperate suspects ambushed their buddy Mugabi at about 1:00 am along Kabuga-Kasoga-Muhorro road and horribly stabbed him in the stomach before running into hiding.
The victim was discovered bleeding profusely by good samaritans who rushed him to St. Ambroze Charity Health center.
Judith Tumwekwase, the Ibanda Village LC I Chairperson, says the good Samaritans approached her household while she was sleeping at about 2 am and informed her about the victim found helplessly bleeding.
Tumwekwase notes that she immediately called for a Boda boda motorcycle that rushed the injured victim to the hospital.
Mugabi’s father, Juma Twinobusingye, claims his son was approached by a notorious gang of youth who blocked him and started searching his pocket before they started assaulting him and harshly piercing him with a knife.
Jamada Mugabi, the LC I Chairperson Nyaburungi Village, says he referred the victim’s father to police because the case is criminal in nature.
He attributes the incident to idleness and excessive alcohol consumption among youths
