Police in Kiwologoma in Kira municipality, Kampala has caged one evil stepmother accused of repeatedly brutally torturing her five-year-old stepson and badly injuring him.
The Step Mother identified as Nakayiza Juliet a resident of Kiwologoma was first reported to the local council authorities by area residents after they had it to their throats with the way she continuously battered the minor.
5-year-old Mukisa Benard Lucky was found on Thursday in grave pain with injuries all over his body , notably on the face, buttocks, back and had his finger cut off.
The vice-chairperson Kiwologoma , Serunjogi Edward explains that Mukisa was found in an appalling state, with several wounds and burns suspected to be from a hot flat iron on his body.
Serunjogi says the negligent father is hardly home since he spends most of his time with another woman.
Mukisa who seemed to be in excruciating pain claims his evil stepmother always beats him up and threatens to kill him after accusing him of stealing cooked food from the saucepan that she has already eaten.
However, Nakayiza has adamantly denied the allegations labeled against her, She claims she has only beaten the boy twice using a small stick for finishing food she cooked in her absence.
Nakayiza explains that the came with wounds from his mother’s home and sustained others after he cut himself with a knife while playing.
Irrate Residents who almost lynched Nakayiza condemned her unjust act on the child and want her to pay for her sins to the maximum.
Luke Owesigirye the Kampala Deputy Police Spokesperson says Police will subject the child to medical tests to ascertain how he got the injuries before being arraigned before the courts of law.
He cautioned parents to desist from torturing their children no matter what they have done, he advised parents to always think of alternative ways of correcting children instead.
