Apac Police are searching for a man accused of killing his relative over Shillings 2000.

Andrew Onono, a resident of Atek village Abyebuti parish in Apac Sub County is wanted for stabbing Moses Ongu Jogo in the neck using a kitchen knife over a dispute of Shillings 2000.

An eye witness says the deceased paid Onono Shillings 2000 to use his smartphone for a day however, the phone failed to work this led Jogo to return to Onono requesting a refund, in the process the two started fighting.

Apac District Police Commander, Philip Mukasa confirmed the incident, saying they have launched a manhunt for the suspect.

The deceased’s body was taken to Aduku HCIV in Kwania district.

Last week  there was a similar incident reported of a man who was stabbed to death over Shillings 300 he won while gambling

Jimmy Okabo a resident of Olilim Sub County in Otuke district was reportedly stabbed in the back by his friend Okello Oje while struggling for the money they won after playing card in a Starch Factory B in Adyel Division Lira Municipality.

He died at the gate of Lira Regional Referral Hospital.
