Teachers and school administrators have been tasked to embrace technology as one way of creating a generation that matches global standards.

The call has been made by Dr. Tony Mukasa Lusambu assistant commissioner for primary education while representing the state minister for primary education at the 13th Fields of life annual Teachers conference held at African village hotel, Mukono.

Lusambu said technology makes work easier for both the teachers and students. asked teachers if they are to be effective at their work

”if, for example, a teacher is to teach a hundred children, and each one is to see a picture, drawing on the blackboard is not sufficient, a teacher has to use a gadget, nowadays in schools computers are used, to register candidates online and letters are typed not written, therefore technology must be embraced if teachers are to be effective at work. ”He said

Lusambu also urged school authorities to revive creativity in schools in a way to produce creative graduates that can stand market challenges.

Dr. Lusambu also stressed the need for teachers to join the fight in environmental conservation by being mindful of the changes in the environment by first promoting tree planting.
