Prof. Juma Waswa Balunywa, the Principal of Makerere University Business School, MUBS, has congratulated all the graduands upon the successful completion of their academic programs. He also appreciated all those responsible for the sacrifices made in ensuring the graduation took place.

He said this on January 16, 2020, at the third session of the 70th Graduation Ceremony held at Makerere University Freedom Square.

At the same function, Namukose Rita a student with MUBS emerged the best overall and best student in Humanities.

Namukose graduated with the Bachelor of International Business and was recognized for her outstanding academic output by Makerere University Convocation.

Dr. Fredrick Tanga Odoi, the Chairperson of Convocation, presented to her a prize of shillings 1 Million.

This 70th graduation ceremony has registered 7 PhDs and thousands of Graduands conferred upon degrees from MUBS at Makerere University.

Prof.Ezra the Chancellor of Makerere University Suruma noted that as graduates in economics, finance, statistics, and information science, there needs for far-reaching innovations in finance, planning and information technology.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe described MUBS as one of the best schools of Business in Africa and congratulated MUBS Council, Management and Staff upon the great improvements in infrastructure and research.

The Chancellor congratulated MUBS upon producing the best overall graduand for the fifth consecutive time.
