Parents will have to dig into their pockets to enroll their children into schools of their choices as the selection process for Senior One students commences on Thursday, 23rd Jan and Friday 24, 2020.

Almost all headteachers across the country have gathered at the Lugogo Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) showgrounds, for the selection exercise.

so far no details for Senior One admission cut-off points for various secondary schools have been given although traditionally schools admit students who chose them as the first or second option.

A candidate who fails to score points for admission to the school indicated as his first choice will automatically enter the second choice depending on their performance.

Last week ,the Education minister commended UNEB officials for the early release of the PLE results because it not only enables the students to start with others but also enables the Ministry to run other activities.

The first term for continuing students opens Monday, February 2, while the date for Senior One students to report has not been announced.
