A self-proclaimed businesswoman who has been fleecing people millions of shillings in the name of lucrative job opportunities abroad has been remanded to Luzira Prisons for obtaining money by false pretence.

The accused is Gonhill Nakaweesa a 25- year- old resident of Zana, Makindye Sabagabo in Wakiso district , she arrested by Police on January 13th, 2020 and has since been held at Kampala Central Police Station.

Nakaweesa was appearing on Thursday before Buganda Road Grade One Magistrate Stella Maris Amabilis.

The prosecution told the court that between November 2019 and December 2019 while at Namaganda Plaza in Kampala, Nakaweesa fraudulently obtained money ranging from five to eight million shillings from people claiming that she would get them high paying jobs in Dubai.

She pleaded not guilty to all the charges and was remanded to Luzira prison until February, 12th 2020 when she will return for the mentioning of her case.

Some of the complainants who gathered at court said that Nakaweesa collected money from them and then presented to them fake receipts and fake visas alleging that they were from a company Special Security Group.
