Police in Soroti district has confined and charged a 29year old man with two counts of aggravated defilement after being caught in the act of sodomizing an 11year old boy.
Daniel Aoja, 29, a resident of Cell D in Central Ward in Soroti Municipality was reportedly found blatantly using the minor on Monday morning by the mother to the child.
Michael Odongo, the East Kyoga Region Police spokesman they have dispatched the suspect to the resident state Antony for advice.
Odongo says so many cases of this kind happen behind closed doors, however, the victims are afraid of reporting to the authorities to get the relevant help.
He added that a 15-year-old teen who says the suspect threatened to harm his parents if he reported has also come up accusing the same suspect of sodomizing him in an incomplete house behind Soroti hotel in September 2019.
The suspect has been charged with two counts of aggravated defilement contrary to section 129(I) of the penal code Act. Sex against the order of nature between two males carries a potential penalty of life imprisonment
