Police Kabumbi has caged one Juliet Naggayi, to ascertain circumstances under which her nine-year-old boy who was reported missing was recovered in a swamp.

Naggayi who is a prime suspect of her child’s disappearance allegedly picked her son Lukwago who was in deep sleep and dumped him in a swamp on Sunday night.

Lukwago was later rescued by passers-by at kabulengwa zone following a search that was mounted by the family and area residents.

Deputy police spokesperson, Polly Namaye, says Naggayi filed a case of disappearance at Kabumbi police and also informed her husband that the child had gone missing.

Namaye says upon his rescue, Lukwago accused his mother of dumping him in the swamp and narrated how he narrowly escaped death by holding on to the grass in the swamp till his rescue.

She says police plans on subjecting Naggayi to mental examinations to ascertain her mental status when she committed the act.
