It was a horrible sight to see after a ruthless mother in Wakiso district beheaded her two months old baby with a panga and knife on Thursday, under unclear circumstances.
Robinah Nakazibwe, a resident of Bulago, Wakiso District, was put on lock and key by police in Bulaga after reportedly butchering her baby identified as Precious and attempting to take her own life in the process.
Nakizbwe shocked and angered area residents who found her in the act of committing suicide with a dead baby lying headless in a pool of blood. The angry residents quickly reported to the local authorities who then alerted the Police.
Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Kampala Police Spokesperson says Bulaga police have launched investigations to ascertain what could have triggered Nakazibwe to kill her child.
Owesigirye says detective who visited the scene of crime found among other exhibits two Pangas and one Knife all with bloodstains that they believe the suspect used to commit the unspeakable act.
According to police investigations, Nakazibwe has been working as a waitress at a pork joint commonly known as Kafunda at Bulaga trading center.
The lifeless body of Precious’s has been taken to City mortuary Mulago hospital for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, Nakazibwe has since been rushed to Family Clinic at Bulaga trading center where she is nursing wounds she sustained while attempting to commit suicide.
