Men in green have on Thursday been deployed heavily at parliament following the August house scare that saw two Red Top Brigade movement Ninjas jump onto the floor from the stranger’s gallery protesting the current regime.

Security has been beefed up unusually with double the number of soldiers spotted at the two gates of parliament which include the main gate and eastern gates. Roughly 20 security officers are camped at each of the gates.

Hellen Kaweesa, the Acting Director Communications at Parliament confirms that this has been done because of the incident that transpired on Wednesday which calls for extra vigilance.

Both visitors and staff are screened thoroughly before entering and those without proper identification cards are also being turned away.

Those with luggage are also checked thoroughly before being allowed to enter.
