The former FUFA executive member who was representing clubs Dennis Mbidde Ssebugwawo has come out to express his desire to stand for Lubaga South member of Parliament seat.

Currently the constituency is being represented by Hon. Kato Lubwama who overthrew Hon. Kenny Lukyamuzi who had represented the constituency for almost three terms.

Dennis Mbidde who is also the chairman of Falcons basketball club is expected to pass through the preminaries of the NRM elections.

Of recent he is seen as a revolutionalist who organised sports club Villa fans and chased away Engineer Ben Emmanuel Misagga two seasons back who he said was not taking Villa to greater heights apart from sinking the team to a mediocre level.

Mbidde is also remembered to have been part of the Save Our Soccer(SOS) campaign that overthrew the late Dennis Obua by then hence a normalisation committee that later brought in Lawrence Mulindwa.

Dennis Mbidde is not only the sports administrator going to participate in the coming elections but even the FUFA president Engineer Moses Magogo is expected to contest from the Eastern region, Busoga United chairperson Diana Nyago will also contest as a woman MP for Mayuge district and many others.
