The Ministry of Health -MOH has urged the public to only follow updates from the Ministry of Health amidst the numerous accounts circulating the various social media platforms.
This has been revealed in a statement by Dr. Henry Mwebesa the Director-General of Health Services in the Ministry of Health while giving the nation an update on the latest developments on COVID-19 including details of the 4 new cases confirmed by the President
”The information we give you as the Ministry of health should be taken as the Gospel truth. There are a lot of falsehoods out there. We shall be giving updates every day at a yet to be stipulated time ”he said.
MOH confirms that the four cases are out of 197 samples tested One case from Hoima 48-year-old Female from the USA via Instanbul 55-year-old from Afghanistan was not under quarantine
Dr. Henry Mwebesa said one of the cases is the a55-year-old gentleman who had recently traveled to Afghanistan who has been not been quarantined before. He was feeling ill and he came to us only to find out that he was positive for COVID-19.
He said all 10 cases at Entebbe Hospital are doing well except for one with fluctuating temperature,6 in Mulago including two Chinese are stable and the 1 In Adjumani also stable.
He has called on the public to remain calm.
