Fresh news coming in  indicate that H.E the president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has fired the commissioner General of the Uganda Revenue Authority Doris Akol and immediately replaced her with Mr John Musinguzi Rujoki

It is not yet clear why the president made the abrupt changes during these trying times of Covid-19 but inside sources reveal that Akol’s performance hasn’t been satisfactory enough to convince Sevo to trust her again with the collections job

The president took to his official social media platforms to announce the changes made based on powers given to him by the constitution of Uganda

”By virtue of powers granted to me by the Constitution, I have appointed Mr John Musinguzi Rujoki as the new Commissioner General of Uganda Revenue Authority. This appointment takes immediate effect.I have also appointed Dr Michael Atingi-Ego as the new Deputy Governor, Bank of Uganda.
