As one way of blocking people from defying the presidential directives on the national lockdown down, the Joint Security Taskforce has resolved to increase visibility on the movement of private cars by deploying more at roadblocks and checkpoints.

Police spokesperson Fred Enanga says they have intensified deployment at various roadblocks and checkpoints across the country to nab those found either driving cars without stickers or using wrong stickers.

Enanga says they have realized that people are still getting free passes on the road using previous stickers that were issued by the Ministry of health -MOH and later canceled after the Ministry of works introduced new ones.

Enanga explains that the valid stickers are those distributed by the Ministry of Works that have serial numbers and codes which are now valid.

The police mouthpiece has also warned people against misusing authentic stickers to run their own personal errands that they will be withdrawn from them.
