Police in Sironko district has launched a manhunt for a 27year old man accused of murdering his own father over shillings 6,000.
Alex Zesiro, a resident of Bunakobe village, Bufaka parish, Bumasifwa Sub- County in Sironko District killed James Woyaga 53.
It is alleged that Zesiiro borrowed Woyaga Shillings 6,000 a few days ago and had been demanding it from him in vain.
Angered by his father’s lack of interest in paying back the debt, Zesiro reportedly attacked him and pounced on him kicking and pounding his stomach to his death.
Rogers Taitika, the Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, says they have dispatched several detectives from the Criminal Investigations Department to investigate the matter and are currently looking for the suspect who fled the scene after the incident.
