Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has opened up on his future plans after spending the season on loan at Roma.

Mkhitaryan has made a positive impression during his time in serie A and negotiations have begun between Roma and the Gunners over a permanent transfer.

But the Italian side are hoping to snaffle him for less than that, while Mkhitaryan has made his feelings clear stating he prefers Serie A to the Premier League.

“Since the first day i arrived here in Rome, i feel very good in the club, in the city and ofcourse it would be nice to stay here.” Said the Armenia international in an interview with the Italian embassy back in his homeland.

Despite suffering various injuries this season, Mkhitaryan has played 13 Serie A games this season, scoring six goals and assisting three.
