Ex Uganda Cranes international, Nateete Hot stars, Coffee Sports Club, and KCC GC right winger, Obadiah Semakula dubbed ‘Musanvu W’eggwanga’ has been seriously I’ll for quite some time at his homestead of Nabisaalu zone, Lukuli(Makindye) since he was diagnosed with Hernia, though previously he had received treatment at Mild May Clinic.

Before his ailment, he had been working at Peacock Paints Limited a company owned by former Buganda Kingdom sports minister Kaddu Kiberu Semakula based on 7th street industrial area.

He acquired the name ‘Musanvu W’eggwanga’ because of using that phrase when he used to court girls in his hey days whereby he could send young boys to tell ladies.

“Oyo omuwala, mugambe musanvu w’eggwanga amwetaaga”

The ex Cranes star made his national team debut way back in 1982 during the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup against Malawi.

Semakula is ranked as the best amongst the greatest crossers of the ball in Ugandan football and he only won one league trophy in his glittering football career in 1997.
