The deadly coronavirus pandemic has disturbed the whole world and as a result many sporting activities and other gathering in various countries were banned.
This led to suspension of a number of football events in the world.
On Thursday 28th May, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) approved a financial grant to support all its 54 member federations.
The development was confirmed I’m a meeting held via video conference, where the CAF emergency committee decided to offer financial grants to the 54 Associations to ease on the financial burden.
The CAF emergency committee has approved the immediate distribution of financial grants to member federations to support the management of domestic football affected by the global pandemic.
Meanwhile, CAF is monitoring the situation closely and working with the relevant authorities such as the World Health Organization (WHO) on the impact of the virus on the continent and will announce developments to our competitions at the appropriate time.
