Douglas Lwanga, DVJ Mercy, DJ Roger, and others came under fire for watering down the fundamentals of the American Protests of over the recent murder of George Floyd, an African American by a white police officer.

While the major slogan for the protests is “Black Lives Matter”, Douglas and company wore t-shirts branded ” All Lives matter” which many say takes the attention off the cause for blacks all over the globe. The pressure has been immense on social media and NBS TV has come out to apologize over the same.

But Samson Kasumba doesn’t see anything wrong with the NSSL crew opting to use “All Lives Matter” and thinks it has been greatly misrepresented. He says their choice of slogan indicated that it is not only the blacks that need to be protected from hate campaigns but all humanity.

“I don’t think one can be understood by all on social media. So to expect that the spirit and Godliness all lives matter to be understood by all the way we wanted it out there is to expect too much. The lines of women who die of maternal mortality matter too. All lives matter” wrote Samson.
