Uganda Cranes left-back Joseph Ochaya is now a free agent following the expiration of his contract with TP Mazembe a club that plays in DRC top flight league.

Ochaya joined the five-time African champions in October 2018 on a two-year deal that expired on 30th June 2020.

Sources indicate that Ochaya will not renew his contract and he wants to seek for greener pastures elsewhere and he will be open to a new challenge during his current transfer window.

It should be remembered that Ochaya won the 2018/19 and last season’s domestic league titles with TP Mazembe.

Ochaya played a total of 16 games last season for TP Mazembe, scoring one goal, providing three assists and receiving a yellow card on one occasion. He as well played five games in the CAF Champions League.

Ochaya has 46 Uganda Cranes Caps with two goals and has represented the nation twice at the Africa Cup of Nations; the one of 2017 in Gabon and that of 2019 in Egypt.

He has previously played for KCCA Fc, Navibank Sai Gon Fc(Vietnam), Asante Kotoko(Ghana), Lusaka Dynamos(Zambia) and lately TP Mazembe(DRC).
