Two suspects held at Kibaale Central police station for the gruesome killing of a 28-year-old man will be charged with murder once investigations are complete.

It is alleged that Ismail Ahebwa and a one Mbabazi, both residents of Kihumuro Village in Mugarama Sub County on Sunday night attacked and killed a resident of the same village under unclear circumstances.

The deceased identified as a 28-year-old John Sunday was found dead in a nearby garden on Monday morning by area residents

The duo is accused of using a sharp machete and a hoe to chop Sunday severely on the stomach, face, and head, causing his death on spot.

Area residents were shocked to find a corpse lying in a pool of blood and quickly gathered the local authorities who later informed the police .

Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson, says preliminary investigations show that the duo is indeed directly involved in the ugly death of Sunday.

Hakiza says the suspects will be charged with murder once police investigations are complete.
