Police in Kampala has launched investigations into a case of aggravated robbery involving two gangster security guards who raided a residence of a tycoon in Kampala and robbed 100 million shillings from him on gunpoint.
Alex Abok and Anthony Ayor, attached to Tight Security Company Limited stole from the residence they had been sent to guard in Kampala belonging to Kunal Sethi a gold dealer on July 7th, 2020 and fled into hiding.
Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire has confirmed that the duo has been captured at a hotel in Kaabong District in the Karamoja region by technical teams and intelligence units.
The duo was also found in the possession of 50 million Shillings.
He says the duo are being held at Jinja Road Police Station in Kampala as investigations take place and once complete they will be charged with aggravated robbery.
Owoyesigyire says criminal files are being processed and are yet to be submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions-DPP at the appropriate time.
