19-year- old Eric Kizza a resident of Kulambiro village Ntinda Nakawa division has been thrown behind the jail coolers of Sentema government prison after he was charged with the capital offense of Kidnap with the intention to murder.
Kizza who faces a maximum penalty of death upon conviction is accused of snatching a two months old baby from the mother Cissy Niyebare with intent to murder him.
Prosecution heard that the accused person on August 2nd, 2020 while at Kulambiro Tuba zone in Kampala used force and/or fraud to grab Eric Kalyango a baby of two months from Niyebare with the determination to murder.
Kizza was on Wednesday arraigned before City hall court in Kampala and ordered not to speak because his case is a capital offense only triable by the High court.
The court’s grade one magistrate Fatuma Nabirye sent Kiiza into custody, pending trial until September 2nd, 2020 when his case comes up for mention.
