A bus belonging to the parliament of Uganda Reg.no UG 0391 on transit to Kampala has on Thursday burnt to ashes.
The Bus had on board 25 COVID-19 patients who were being transferred from Kitgum to Kampala under the orders of the ministry of health-MOH.
Ainebyoona Emmanuel the ministry Spokesperson has confirmed the incident and says the Bus caught fire under unclear circumstances in Koro, Gulu district.
He however adds that no one has been injured in the accident as everyone was removed safely from the bus.
Ainebyoona has also confirmed that the patients will still travel to Kampala by other means while police investigate the exact cause of the fire.
