Drama and chaos rocked Bwaise, Kampala on Friday afternoon after police were forced to fire live bullets and teargas at rowdy supporters of the Kawempe South Member of Parliament Mubarak Munyagwa.

This is after Munyagwa loyalists decided to gather in large groups at his campaign office on Nabweru Road to celebrating his appointment while awaiting his arrival

This action considered a violation of lawful orders on social distancing attracted the attention of security personnel who reportedly stormed the area to halt the procession.

However, unrelenting Munyagwa die-hards refused to vacate the area compelling the security guys to open fire and tear gas on them to disperse.

Business and traffic was brought to a halt as residents operating small shops around the area hurriedly closed their business for fear of being destroyed or robbed in the process.

Despite this, the mad crowd instead reacted by blocking off the road with heavy stones and burning car tyres disrupting traffic.

Munyagwa also reportedly arrived shortly and tried to walk through the traffic alongside his rowdy die-hards leading Police to arrest him at Bwaise Police Station.
