Pastor Yiga is yet to be laid to rest and there is a lot of controversy surrounding his name from all corners including fellow pastor Jackson Senyonga of Christian Life Church in Bwaise.
Senyonga called for a presser on the same day the deceased was pronounced dead and instead of praising him as it should be for the dead, he chose to insult his ghost calling him a sick and quack pastor who lied to people with fake miracles.
Senyonga announced to the world how the late Yiga was HIV positive and a womanizer who exploited his female fans by ballooning and infecting them before scattering and abandoning his own children.
“I am not saying these words because I hate him, but I want to open people’s eyes that there are fake pastors in Uganda. I tried to access him when he was sick to see that he gives his life to Christ, but it was not possible.,” Ssenyonga said.
The comments from Senyonga have angered the born again Fraternity in Kampala and beyond compelling pastors to hit back and demand an apology from him.
The ever Vocal pastor Mondo Mugisha of Empowerment Christian Center had Senyonga for lunch on Wednesday when he fired back at him for the bold comments.
During a visit to Revival Church Kawaala Mondo trashed Pastor Ssenyonga’s allegations before demanding an apology.
Mondo said that it is wrong for anyone in the African tradition to speak ill of any deceased person adding that Senyonga has no right to disclose the health status of the deceased except for his doctors.
He went on to change Senyonga’s name to Senyomo for insulting a dead person before asking the public to shun him wherever they meet him.
Mondo described Senyonga as a fallen pastor with a dead ministry who is looking to ride on Yiga’s death to revive his ministry.
on the other hand, Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo of House of Prayer Ministries equally condemned the act saying the bible preaches against the nature of wickedness.
“I can’t celebrate the death of a person even if he has been my enemy at worst what he did was nothing but wickedness,” said Bujjingo.
Among other pastors that added their voice to condemn the senior pastor include; Pastor Merry Kaizire of the Lord’s Covenant in Kanyanya , Rose Mumbejja, an artist in Rival Band among others.
