Presidential candidates continue to go out of their way to convince the wanaichi that they are the best for the top seat come 2021.
On Wednesday evening presidential hopeful Gen (rtd) Henry Tumukunde excited a few bystanders when he resorted to using a bicycle to campaign in Kabale town.
Tumukunde who started by trekking sweated plasma and got exhausted, before jumping on a bike belonging to a good samaritan.
However, his lukewarm tactic hit a dead-end sooner than later when ruthless Afande Ochola’s men swung into action, grabbing him by the collar before showering him with teargas.
Apparently, Tumukunde was stopped because he was working outside the campaign time as stipulated by the electoral commission which is between 7 am and 6 pm.
He had arrived late at 6 pm to Kabale from Kisoro district where he still battled police while campaigning.
