National Unity Platform (NUP) disciples have started a fundraising campaign to surprises their leader, Bobi Wine with an armored ride.

This follows the endless brutality at the hands of the security forces especially police, in a bid to enforce the Electoral Commission campaign guidelines. The EC tasked every candidate to desist from holding mass rallies and processions but the Pop-star has done the opposite.

In a Facebook post shared by one of Bobi’s disciples,  Andaman Daku, he explains that their ‘President’s’ life is in danger especially when he’s on a campaign trail and needs to protection by gifting him an armored vehicle.

Bobi Wine’s V8 Landcruiser was yesterday shot at by security forces in Jinja damaging his windscreen and front car Tyre. The presidential hopeful decided to suspend his presidential campaigns and engage in a meeting with the Electoral Commission boss Justice Simon Byabakama.

NUP has also called upon its supporters to contribute funds to enable the running of their campaign activities.
