The Uganda Communications Commission UCC has finally summoned celebrated local singer Opoka Eric popularly known as Eezzy over claims that his song undermines the covid-19 standard operating procedures put in place by the Ministry of Health to combat the spread of coronavirus.

It should be noted that on Friday last week the Ministry of Health requested the Uganda Communication Commission (UCC) to ban singer Eric Opoka a.k.a Eezzy’s song titled “Tumbiza Sound” from airing on all mass media channels for allegedly misleading the public about the Standard Operating Procedures of Covid-19.

In the letter, the MoH stated that the song had spread misinformation among different audiences and subsequently created complacency amongst members of the public.

And now to appear fair and modest in their judgement UCC has summoned Eezzy for a meeting on 29th Decemebr to explain his position in regards to the controversial song before a decision can be taken by the commission.

Below is the letter summoning Eezzy for the meeting;
