The Uganda People’s Congress- UPC party national chairperson has died. Lawrence Okae died at Naguru Hospital on Monday morning around 10:00 am.
His wife Florence Akello Okae who was equally saddened by his demise says she only received news that he had suffered Pneumonia and was admitted.
Akello says she got the news of his passing on her way to attend to her husband at the hospital.
Prior to being the UPC national chairman, Okae contested for the Soroti County MP seat in 2001 and 2006 but lost to Samuel Anyolo and the late Peter Omolo FDC respectively.
