Locals in the Bududa district woke up to the shock of a 65-year-old man who had been butchered into a coma by his own biological Son over a land dispute.
Lawrence Wanzusi suffered grave injuries to his body after he was hacked with a panga by his son Michael Muboki, a resident of Muririnyi Village in Bubore parish.
Charles Wakinya, the Muririnyi Village LC I Chairperson says a fight broke out after Muboki chose to cut down his father’s trees from the garden to build a house without permission.
Wakinya says Muboki, already had a share of trees in the garden but still chose to use his father’s, and when he was questioned he picked up a panga and chopped the old man.
Bududa District Police Commander, Hilary Nuwahereza, says Muboki is being held at Bududa Central Police Station as investigations proceed.
However, despite his arrest , angry locals have burned down his house and have threatened to banish him from the village .
