A man in Katwe is on the run after hacking to death his bae on Valentine’s day .
Kansime Merida was butchered by her husband Kasibante Tonny on the 15th of Feb 2021 at Masajja Kibira B zone Sabagabbo district in Wakiso district at 1am.
The husband Kasibante reportedly returned home on valentine’s day at about 10 pm and found his wife had not yet returned home.
Kasibante inquired from the 19year old house help Namulndwa Aidah the whereabouts of his wife and was told she had gone to buy food supplies from the nearby shop, a story he didn’t buy.
A fuming Kasibante who suspected his wife had gone for a quick bonking session, ordered the maid to enter her bedroom and lock it up as he equally shut the door to the house and proceeded to sleep in his bedroom.
Kampala metropolitan police mouthpiece Patrick Onyango says moments later, the wife returned only to find the door locked , after several attempts knocking unsuccessful, Kansime gave up and stayed out.
Namulunda the maid says at about 1 am she was woken up by Kasibante and ordered to come out, only to find Kansiime lying unconscious on the ground with blood to her legs, deep cuts to the left hand, and bruises all over the body.
Namulunda told police she was told to help carry Kansime to the nearest clinic but upon reaching the clinic, they referred them to Nsambya hospital because of the state she was in. Kansime died in transit to the hospital.
Her body has been taken to City Mortuary Mulago for a post-mortem as police searches for her suspected murderer.
