The Principle communications at the supreme court  Solomon Muyita has said that the gazette notice of an application filed by the National Unity Platform-NUP former presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine will be out on Monday.

Bobi wine seeks to withdrawal his election petition case at the supreme court challenging the victory of president Yoweri Museveni in the January 14th polls after his attempts were reportedly frustrated by the justices of the court.

Bobi cited bias of the justices and rejection to accept his additional evidence to back his case as some of the reasons for his withdrawal.

On Wednesday last week, the Chief Justice-CJ Alfonso Owiny Dollo adjourned the hearing of the presidential election petition withdrawal application on grounds that such an application must be gazetted before hearing it.

The CJ then told the register of the court to first gazette the application before a date for a hearing can be set.

Muyita says for a date of the hearing to be set, the 9 justices of the supreme court must seat for a meeting following the gazette.

He adds that the hearing may be set for Tuesday or Wednesday this week based on the outcome of the meeting.
