Ministry of Health gives musicians permission to hold a fundraising concert for singer Evelyn Lagu. The concert will not have a capacity of more than 200 people.

According to the Ministry spokesperson Emmanuel Ainebyoona, the Director of General Health Services permitted musicians and organizers of Evelyne Lagu to go on and hold a charity concert for the bedridden singer.

The concert will be aimed at raising 125M needed for her Kidney transplant.

Evelyne Lagu’s close requested the Ministry of Health to stage a charity concert to solicit funds for the singer to be flown to India for a kidney transplant surgery and Ainebyoona’s statement was a response to them.

Only 200 people are expected to attend the concert because the director of general health services emphasized that the organizers and musicians must adhere to the COVID-19 standard operating procedures.
