Security forces have on Tuesday frustrated plans by the National Unity platform -NUP strongman Bobi wine to petition the Chief of Defense Forces(CDF).
Bobi wine was blocked and captured at the Old Kira Road as he prepared to take a written petition to the CDF, Gen. David Muhoozi, and the Minister of Defence Adolf Mwesige, demanding the immediate release of political prisoners under NUP.
In a presser held this morning Bobi wine noted that majority of his supporters remain under lock and key since the election time and security forces continue to conduct arbitrary arrests on his supporters .
He said since the president Museveni has announced that the military is responsible for the kidnappings ,they will not stop protesting peacefully until justice has prevailed.

‘‘Gen Museveni came out and said it is the military that has been abducting them, precisely the SFC, now we want to demand our people,and to put them on notice that should our people not be released we shall continue protesting because it is within the law”Bobi said
Bobi wine told journalists that he was ready to storm Gen Muhoozi’s office unannounced because it is a public office .
However that didn’t go as planned because security forces foiled the process and arrested Bobi wine .
Bobi Wine was taken by the military at usein bolt speed while on his way to petition Gen. Muhoozi.
By press time, a joint security team had deployed heavily outside the NUP offices, checking every vehicle that was coming out.
