Uganda Airlines national carrier has been awarded world’s youngest Aircraft fleet of 2021.

The prestigious award was given by Ch-aviation recognizing airlines global airlines that operate a young, modern, and efficient fleet.

Uganda Airlines emerged winner in the African region beating  Jambojet, EgyptAir and Ethiopian Airlines.

It also defeated international airlines like Sky Air Line and jet Smart from South America, airBaltic from Europe, and Asia’s Salam Air.

The ch-aviation awards focus on new generations of aircraft that contribute to the decrease of carbon dioxide and greenhouse emissions.

Ch-aviation CEO Thomas Jaeger says the Award was given based on non-manipulable fleet data with no jury or any other subjective parameter involved.

Besides Africa, the top five youngest aircraft fleets from Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, Oceania, and South America were also recognized. Uganda Airlines has a fleet of 6 aircraft.
