Man Kills LC1
Police in Kagadi is looking for a heartless on the run ,behind the murder of his LC 1 Chairperson.
David Tomanya is accused of killing 55-year-old Johnson Mwanga, the Kinoni Village LC 1 Chairperson in Kamuroza Sub County.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the 2met at a local bar in Kinoni trading center on March 21, 2021, and got into a fight.
It is alleged that during the deep heated argument, Tomanya picked up a beer bottle and hit Mwanga on the forehead, creating a very deep cut.
Man Kills LC1
Mwanga started bleeding profusely making him unconscious, by the time he was taken to Kagadi General Hospital his condition had worsened and he died.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson says a postmortem report shows that Mwanga succumbed to excessive bleeding resulting from the deep cut on his forehead
He says Mwanga’s family members wanted to avenge his death by attacking the suspect’s family but police intervened immediately and deployed to avoid clashes.
He adds that police have launched a manhunt to ensure that Tomanya as investigations continue.
